Vayoil is certified as a sustainable supplier by the United Nations Global Compact.

The United Nations Global Compact sustainable supplier certification is a recognition of companies that demonstrate their commitment to sustainability in their production and supply processes. Vayoil has achieved its certification in 2023. Twenty-first century society demands an ironclad commitment from companies to sustainability in its broadest sense and punishes practices that fail to respect people and the environment. By incorporating the Ten Principles of the UN Global Compact into their strategies, companies not only fulfill their basic sustainability responsibilities, but also lay the foundations for long-term success. Target Agenda 2030 Vayoil Textil has been working for more than 11 years on all kinds of social responsibility initiatives in the economic and environmental sphere, which has enabled it to reduce its carbon footprint by 61% in the last seven years. Obtaining the sustainable supplier certificate is a further step in the company's strategy to comply with the 2030 Agenda. "The importance of Vayoil in the supply chain has led us to turn our efforts to achieve the certification as a sustainable supplier granted by the United Nations Global Compact," explains Vayoil Textil Director Arturo Hernández. Companies that obtain the United Nations Sustainable Supplier Certificate must complete the Sustainable Supplier Training Program. The program focuses training on the Ten Principles of the United Nations Global Compact and the SDGs. Through its principles, the United Nations Global Compact ensures that companies respect the human rights of their workers, promote environmentally friendly practices and establish control channels against corruption, extortion and bribery. Sustainability as a strategic focus Together with Vayoil, more than 2,000 SME suppliers from around the world have joined the Sustainable Supplier Training Program this year. In addition to being trained in the principles of the United Nations Global Compact and the SDGs, the participants have also studied in depth the national, European and international regulatory framework relating to sustainability. In Spain, companies such as Siro, Talgo, Ormazabal and Tragsa are sustainable suppliers accredited by the United Nations Global Compact. Internationally, Coca-Cola, Microsoft, Unilever, Nestlé, Adidas, Nike, Carrefour and Siemens also boast the maximum guarantee of good practices in sustainability.
Vayoil Textil renueva sus certificaciones ambientales para todos sus productos

The company has renewed for another year the environmental certificates that guarantee the quality of its raw materials. These are the GOTS (organic cotton), OCS (organic cotton) and RCS (recycled materials) certificates that accompany the Vayoil Textil product as a guarantee to its customers that the product they are acquiring is of the highest quality and has been subjected to an exhaustive control throughout its production process. The company also works in all kinds of initiatives to be the most socially and environmentally responsible and has just been registered in the Carbon Footprint Registry, compensation and carbon dioxide absorption projects by the Ministry of Environment. The Valencian company Vayoil Textil, manufacturer of textiles for hotels and other collectivities, has renewed for another year all its environmental certifications that guarantee the quality and respect of raw materials. Vayoil Textil, which aims to adapt to the 2030 Agenda, has been working for more than 11 years on all kinds of social responsibility initiatives in the economic and environmental field, which has allowed it to reduce its carbon footprint by 61% in the last seven years. Currently, Vayoil Textil is a pioneer in Spain and Europe in dressing a hotel with 100% sustainable textiles, i.e. it can dress a bed, a bathroom, a restaurant or a spa with sustainable garments. Certificates The GOTS and OCS certificates are organic cotton certificates. These certificates verify the presence and quantity of organic material in a final product and trace the flow of a raw material from the source to the final product and this process is certified by an accredited third party. All these controls allow for transparent, consistent and comprehensive independent assessment and verification of claims of organic material content in products. OCS / RCS certification applies to every organization that is part of the supply chain: from Organic/Recycled Material verification, processing, manufacturing, storage, handling and shipping to the last transaction performed. All processes that are part of this chain must be clearly specified and documented. RCS refers to the use of recycled materials. This certificate verifies the presence and amount of recycled material in a final product in an accurate manner and addresses most of the processes and concerns related to recycling. They provide verification of recycled materials, and then trace the material back to the final product. This verification occurs through entry into the third party chain of custody allowing for transparent, consistent and complete independent assessment and verification of claims of recycled material content in products. By protecting consumer confidence in choosing products made from recycled materials, we hope to contribute to the increased use of recycled materials and reduce the amount of waste sent to landfill or incineration. In the words of Maria Jose Esteve, Communication Director of Vayoil Textil: "Vayoil has environmental respect in its DNA. Its birth as a company has been parallel to all kinds of initiatives that go in this direction. In addition to its Oeko-Tex Standard "Trusted Textiles" certification, all these other certifications are added to deepen its message as a company committed to its environment".
Vayoil Textil: propuesta única en lencería de habitación

Among the wide range of sheets, the Colón reference stands out. A collection of sheets made of 100% pure cotton combed fibers with a sateen weave that gives the product a resistance superior to any other on the market. The comfort of a hotel is put to the test especially when the person decides to rest on the bed. The main hotel chains and independent hotels of the highest category are developing a whole policy of rest and comfort of the bed, improving everything that surrounds the moment of sleeping, focusing it as another experience, decisive in the choice of one hotel or another by the most demanding customers. Today, linen suppliers work to provide that comfort and create atmospheres in which hotel guests can enjoy the harmony of the spaces, integrating the linen in them and helping to define the style of any room and even the hotel itself. Colón sheets are a high-end option that offer great comfort thanks to the sateen weave, softness due to the combed fibers and thermo-regulation for a perfect rest. They are made of 100% long staple cotton fibers which gives these products superior resistance to other qualities in the market. On the other hand, the surface maintains a permanent shine that does not fade with washing. In short, Colón sheets (and pillowcases) combine luxury and durability to better meet the sleeping needs of any hotel customer. Vayoil Textil es reconocida por el Ministerio de Medio Ambiente por su reducción de huella de carbono

VAYOIL TEXTIL IS RECOGNIZED BY THE MINISTRY OF ENVIRONMENT FOR ITS CARBON FOOTPRINT REDUCTION. The Valencian manufacturer of textiles for hotels and other collectivities, Vayoil Textil, has been registered in the Carbon Footprint Registry, compensation and carbon dioxide absorption projects by the Ministry of the Environment. The company, which aims to adapt to the 2030 Agenda, has been working for more than 10 years on all kinds of social responsibility initiatives in the economic and environmental field, which has allowed it to reduce its carbon footprint by 61% in the last seven years. Currently, Vayoil Textil is a pioneer in Spain and Europe in dressing a hotel with 100% sustainable textiles, i.e. it can dress a bed, a bathroom, a restaurant or a spa with sustainable garments. The Valencian company Vayoil Textil, manufacturer of textiles for hotels and other collectivities, has been registered in the Registry of Carbon Footprint, compensation and carbon dioxide absorption projects by the Ministry of Environment. Specifically, the company has obtained the seal of calculation and reduction of scopes 1+2. This seal refers to those greenhouse gas emissions that come from sources owned or controlled by the company, such as, for example, consumption of fossil fuels in fixed and/or mobile sources, unintentional leaks from air conditioning equipment, etc. and indirect emissions from electricity consumption and/or vapors generated by third parties. The company is currently the only European company capable of dressing a hotel in a sustainable manner at a competitive price and maintaining the product quality and efficiency standards required by the sector. The company, which has already reduced the use of plastics in its day-to-day operations, is also working to reduce energy and fuel consumption in its production and central services centers. It is also working on improvements in machinery efficiency that have allowed it to move from a carbon footprint of 37% in 2017 to 6% in 2020. The company also uses cardboard boxes without metal packaging and 100% recyclable material in the distribution of its products. A respect for the environment that starts in the supply chain itself as Vayoil Textil requires all its suppliers to have the OEKO- TEX certificate a certificate that guarantees that these companies comply with the charter of workers' rights and respect for the environment throughout the product process from raw materials to the final product and that this does not contain any harmful substances for human contact. The company's high-end production capacity and manufacturing methods contribute to reducing the carbon footprint by producing unique products for high-end hospitality linens. This translates at Vayoil into, among other things, the use of materials that come from recycled plastic (case of garments with polyester fibers) or natural materials from organic farming. The environmental impact of the textile industry, as in many other sectors, is a pressing reality that must be addressed. Currently, less than 1% of the material used to produce clothing is recycled, large quantities of greenhouse gas emissions are generated and we are responsible for a high consumption of cubic meters of water. A major sticking point is the plastic microfibers released from clothes in the washing machine that are polluting the oceans. It is estimated that total clothing sales may triple between now and 2050. Given that the proportion of plastic-based fibers is expected to remain at 63%, this would mean a tripling of microplastics reaching the oceans. Five years ago, Vayoil launched its Ocean line, which year after year has been nurturing a wider range of textile products for hotels. In the words of the Director of Vayoil Textil, Arturo Hernandez: "In Vayoil Textil we are concerned about our planet today and, above all, its future and that is why the company is committed to incorporate into the hotel market products that have this philosophy (reduce, reuse, recycle, redesign, recover and replace) and our innovation walks with this green commitment".
Vayoil Textil participa en el Summit de gobernantas

The commercial director of Vayoil Textil, Ramón García, participated as an expert in the Housekeepers Summit held within the framework of HIP (Hospitality Innovation Planet) organized by ASEGO and AEDH (Spanish Association of Hotel Managers). A meeting that brought together a large group of attendees and which addressed various topics of special interest to hotel managers, including sustainability in hotels and the talent and training of the new generations. This training included several topics, one of the main ones was sustainability as a main criterion when developing the activity in the hotel sector, a topic that Ramón Esteve addressed to explain the company's experience in this field. It is important to point out that Vayoil Textil is currently a pioneer in Spain and Europe in dressing a hotel with 100% sustainable textiles, i.e. it can dress a bed, a bathroom, a restaurant or a spa with sustainable garments. In the words of Ramón García: "After the pandemic we find a great green wave that has begun to accelerate. The implementation of eco-friendly measures to benefit the environment and attract the demand of sustainable travelers will spread throughout the tourism sector. Sustainability has permeated the sector and has taken center stage, but we should not get carried away by marketing speeches, and we should bet on companies that have environmental respect in their DNA and have been working in this direction for years, as is the case of Vayoil Textil". The company explained how four years ago it launched a line of products called Ocean, which year after year has been increasing its range of textile products for hotels until it is now the only company capable of dressing a hotel in a sustainable way at a competitive price and maintaining the standards of quality and efficiency of the product that the sector needs. A respect for the environment that in the case of Vayoil Textil starts in the same supply chain as the company requires all its suppliers to have the OEKO-TEX certificate, a certificate that guarantees that these companies comply with the charter of workers' rights and respect for the environment throughout the product process from raw materials to the final product and that it does not contain any substance harmful to human contact. These changes in the processes are also accompanied by changes in the raw materials used. Vayoil has the GOTS certificate (organic cotton), which has been completed with the OCS certificate (organic cotton) and RCS (recycled materials) and accompany the Vayoil Textil product as a guarantee to its customers that the product they are acquiring is of the highest quality and has been subjected to a thorough control throughout its production process. The company, also detailed how it has reduced the use of plastics in its day-to-day business and is also working to reduce in its production centers and central services the consumption of energy, fuel, and improvements in the efficiency of machinery that have allowed it to go from a carbon footprint of 37% in 2017 to 6% in 2020. Vayoil Textil se incorpora como socio a Better Cotton (BCI)

Better Cotton is a non-profit organization that seeks to improve cotton farming. To achieve this, it helps cotton-growing communities around the world to prosper and survive with the aim of reducing the environmental impact of cotton production. Being a member of this organization is the first step in a joint work that entails a series of obligations for the member companies whose compliance over time allows them to climb up the ladder. Vayoil Textil has just been admitted as a member of the select international group Better Cotton (BCI). The company continues its strategy of creating more sustainable articles with the same quality standards. To this end, it is committed to two ways: using recycled material of the same quality as conventional material and, on the other hand, working to ensure that the raw material and its production process are as sustainable as possible. A job that requires a lot of investment and work given the use and washing conditions to which the hotel textile product is subjected. Being a member of the international association Better Cotton means Vayoil Textil's commitment to obtain cotton of responsible origin. It should not be forgotten that cotton is natural, renewable and biodegradable, but its production requires a high use of water and chemicals. For this reason, the association works to train farmers around the world to improve agricultural practices, in addition to respecting the rights of workers. Right now, Better Cotton works with more than two million farmers in 23 countries who together produce about 23% of the world's cotton using 10% less water than traditional farmers and 10% less pesticides. Without reducing profitability or crop productivity. The company, Vayoil Textil adds another achievement in its philosophy of trying to be as sustainable as possible. Currently, it has also reduced the use of plastics in its day-to-day operations and is also working to reduce energy consumption, fuel consumption, and improvements in machinery efficiency in its production centers and central services, which have allowed it to go from a carbon footprint of 37% in 2017 to 6% in 2020. Vayoil para a fabricar su almohada Sumum con fibra de poliester reciclado

As part of the company's strategy of replacing its conventional textile products for the hotel and catering industry with more sustainable ones, without losing quality, the company has started to manufacture its Sumum pillow with RePET polyester fiber filling, i.e. polyester fiber from recycled plastic bottles. Vayoil Textil has presented its converted Sumum pillow. This pillow is filled with Repet polyester fiber from recycled plastic bottles. The new product has the same quality and characteristics as the conventional pillow but has a much smaller carbon footprint. The Sumum pillow has an outer part made of 100% cotton fabric and its filling is made of siliconized hollow fiber (RePet), which gives it a very similar feel to that of feather fillings. This makes this pillow, compared to others with synthetic filling, more comfortable, with greater adaptability and a great recovery of the shape after being pressed. This same RePet fiber allows air to circulate inside and this makes it very breathable. In this way the company continues its strategy of creating more sustainable articles with the same standards as the conventional one. A job that requires a lot of investment and work given the use and washing conditions to which the hotel textile product is subjected. To this end, Vayoil Textil ensures that the recycled material will be of the same quality as the material with which it was manufactured until now, and incorporates a production process that is controlled down to the last detail. In the words of Arturo Hernandez, CEO of the company; "By protecting consumer confidence in choosing products made from recycled materials, the company hopes to contribute to the increased use of recycled materials by consumers and to reduce the amount of waste sent to landfill or incineration. We are concerned about our planet today and, above all, its future, which is why the company is committed to bringing products with this philosophy (reduce, reuse, recycle, redesign, recover and replace) to the hospitality market.
Satisfaction at Vayoil Textil for the reception of its textile proposals at Equip Hotel 2022

The Vayoil Textil team has just landed from Paris where it has presented its textile proposals for the contract sector through a magnificent stand, designed to give prominence to the product, and which has received a great welcome from all professionals who have come to know it. The central element of the set-up was a large bed dressed with sheets from the Gizza collection of 500 thread count satin and 100% cotton, edged with an olive green ribbon that gives uniformity and elegance to the whole set, in which the comforter, in the same fabric, reflects the color trend that will be strong for the year 2023. The rest of the stand has been divided into different corners where visitors have been able to walk around and learn about the different proposals. The spa area was dominated by gray with its bathrobes, kimonos and towels. Greys and beiges in their most neutral shades will be a trend in the most contemporary designs. They are shades that work well in all styles and blend perfectly with other colors. Bed linen was accompanied by new desires and possibilities of customization and has reviewed the G, Colon or Lyon collections. Linens and silk also had a place in this space where design and comfort come together in a decisive product for any hotel. As bath linen, Vayoil Textil, has presented its collection of towels made of organic cotton in ecru and the coral bathrobe. A bathrobe that due to its fiber composition, weaving, spinning and finishing needs less water to be washed with the consequent saving of energy, both water and electricity, as well as less use of detergent, with what this has positive to reduce environmental pollution and for the user's skin. Linen tablecloths made of polyester linen or 100% linen are the bet of this company for the most demanding restaurateurs with multiple proposals for design and customization. In the words of the Director of Vayoil Textil, Arturo Hernández: "The whole Vayoil Textil team is extremely satisfied with the great reception of our products at Equip Hotel. As trend hunters we try to anticipate the needs and offer novelties in line with the new hotel requirements and I think we have succeeded".
