This activity is part of the company's plan of initiatives on sustainability and circular economy aimed at raising environmental awareness among the entire company team.
The Valencian company Vayoil Textil, manufacturer of textiles for hotels and other collectivities, has been developing for more than 10 years a corporate policy on social responsibility in the economic and environmental field within the sustainable development goals drafted by the United Nations.
Within this philosophy, part of the company's staff attended a conference on climate change, which was organized at the headquarters of AEMET Valencia and where part of the company's team was able to listen and learn first-hand about the priority of working in this direction in the face of the pressing situation that our environment is experiencing globally.
Currently, Vayoil is a pioneer in Spain and Europe in dressing a hotel with 100% sustainable textiles, i.e. it can dress a bed, a bathroom a restaurant or a spa with sustainable garments The company, which has already reduced the use of plastics in its day to day has also worked to reduce in its production centers and central services energy consumption, fuel, and improvements in the efficiency of machinery that have allowed it to move from a carbon footprint of 37% in 2017 to 6% in 2020. The company also uses cardboard boxes without metal packaging and 100% recyclable material in the distribution of its products.
In the words of Vayoil's Director, Arturo Hernández: "Wt Vayoil we are concerned about our planet today and, above all, its future and that is why the company is committed to incorporating into the hospitality market products that have this philosophy (reduce, reuse, recycle, redesign, recover and replace) and our innovation walks with this green commitment. that is why it is important that all of us who are part of Vayoil work together and in the same line to be a truly sustainable company".
